NHS Digital Exchange - Part 1 - What's inside?
The NHS DX is a constantly evolving collaboration platform and updates to process and objects frequently occur depending upon the demands of ESNEFT's development lifecycle.
01 - HR Establishment Control Form Chaser
This asset can be used by NHS organisations who use the web-based product called Selenity to manage Establish Control Form e-workflow. This asset downloads a management report from Selenity, analyses the content and automatically generates and sends emails to management groups for escalation.
02 - Read NHS Emails
East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) have an Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC), which acts as a gateway into the Emergency Department (ED). The ED receives UTC patient referrals via an email from TPP’s SystemOne, which triggers the registration of the patient on Medway’s Patient Administration System (PAS), and a copy of the referral uploaded into the Kainos Evolve Electronic Patient Record (EPR).
This process accesses the receiving NHS.net mailbox and loads the incoming referrals into a queue awaiting data extraction. The referral emails are removed from the mail inbox and archived into a folder in Outlook.
03 - Extract Referral Data from S1

This process reads the saved emails and attachments, extracts key data items from a word document and uploads the output to the various queues ready for the next stage of processing.
04 - Uploading S1 Referral into Kainos Evolve EPR
This asset includes a patient search function, acknowledges restricted patients and uploads clinical documentation to any part of the patient record if configured to do so. It does not have to be used solely for S1 referrals. It can be used as a framework for any document integration using the standard user front-end.
05 - Register Patient and Admit to ED on Medway PAS
This asset provide a considerable amount of functionality for System C Medway PAS that be incorporated into any PAS related processes. In essence it registers a patient, checks demographics, updates demographics and admits to ED.
06 - Get Closed Longlisting Vacancies on TRAC
This asset downloads CLOSED longlisting vacancies from TRAC and loads into a Queue. This asset can be used as a pre-process data loader for other HR processes
07 - NHS Object Library - TRAC
This asset are all the objects available for use with the Human Resources TRAC system.
08 - NHS Object Library - NHS Jobs
This asset are all the objects available for use with the Human Resources NHS Jobs system.
09 - NHS Object Library - Kainos Evolve
This asset are all the objects available for use with Kainos Evolve EPR.
10 - NHS Object Library - System C Medway
This asset are all the objects available for use with System C Medway.
